Fall: "Celebrate the fall tertiary colors" No "mud" here!
Come celebrate the tertiary fall colors in the lovely Van Vleck garden, and learn how to get the color you want. Color exercises will be done in pastel, but work on site can be done in any medium.

4 Tuesdays in October: Oct 5, 12, 19, 26. 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Winter: "Isometric -- A Different Perspective"
Winter is a time for introspection and thinking about how we experience the garden. Through meditative drawing and painting, we’ll use pen and ink, and gouache or watercolor to address the isometric perspective of the gardens of the Persian Miniature, working from digitals of the Van Vleck garden or your own.

4 Tuesdays in February: Feb 1, 8, 15, 22. 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Spring: "Becoming the Landscape"
Celebrate the colors of the spring garden. This workshop series addresses work “en plein air”: simplifying what you see, composition, the personal limited palette, and learning how to render the landscape. We’ll work primarily with pastels, but all media, including mixed media, are welcome.

4 Tuesdays in May: May 3, 10, 17, 24. 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

$100 Friends of Van Vleck; others $120.
